About Dr. Jacqueline Boutrouille
I was born in Dampierre (Normandy-France).
I went to High School and Faculte de Medecine of CAEN.
I have been a Family Physician, specialized in Homeopathy for twelve years in Fort de France, Martinique. F.W.I. (Diploma from Caen, FRANCE.) So I am very comfortable with Creole speaking people.
On December 1st 1991, I moved to Charleston SC with my husband, Jean Claude who was a Pharmacist and our 9th year old daughter, Benededicte.
I managed to do my residency in Psychiatry in Charleston.
I trained in Addiction in order to keep my background alive.
I set up a Private Practice and ran a "Substance Abuse Unit" for 5 years at: "Palmetto Hospital" as a Medical Director.
In September of 2003, we relocated to South-Florida to find a taste of tropical life.
I was on staff at "University Hospital" as a Medical Director of the Out-Patient and In-Patient Detox Unit.
I was the Medical Director of a "Maternal Addiction Unit" at Plantation Hospital.
I was the Medical Director at Challenges.
And now I work at Evolution Program Center, New Road Recovery and Peaceful Ridge Outpatient Detox and Assistant Professor at Palm Beach Consortium for Graduate Medical Education. That's what allows me to pass my knowledge to the new generation and currently four Residents work part time in my office in Tamarac and in the Rehab Centers. Residents are definitely a plus for the Office and now I am back to Academics.
I am not forgetting our daughter, Benedicte who, in the meantime graduated from N.Y.U. And after Law School at Tulane, New-Orleans is now a maritime Lawyer and my husband now an “almost famous” Painter.
I live in Lighthouse Point and I am very happy to find a place close to the Ocean, the Symphony in Miami and the Theater in West Palm Beach.
I will welcome any patient interested in holistic approach: I think Homeopathy could be used sometimes for depression.
Naturally I speak English, French and I was used to Creole. By the way at my Office, Monique is from Jamaica and Karen from Bermuda.
